The Raritan AV-over-IP Distribution System (RAV-IP) allows distribution of audio and video over an IP network using standard Ethernet switches, Cat5 cabling, or fiber for long distances up to 10km. It uses an encoder/decoder architecture to convert AV signals to IP packets at the encoder and back to AV at the decoder. Setup is flexible and economical, allowing expansion as needed. RAV-IP provides a simple way to extend AV and computing devices over an IP network.
